I bought her in November of 2010 completely stock, but had a grocery list of upgrades to consider. Specs- 2003 F150 supercrew XLT 4.6 2wd with 101k, now has 130k. Since then, I have added 285/75R16 Kumho road venture mt's, 3" coil spring spacers, straight piped dumped right after cab (not in all pics), limo tint all around (on top of the stock tint in the rear ), tinted cab lights (birthday gift from my girlfriend), tinted tails, billet grill, camo headliner, GoRecon 49" tailgate bar, kobalt tool box, fishing rod holders attached to tool box, and painted the stock rims black. I will be painting the grill surround white eventually. I am saving up to buy a lift (01f1502wd's fabtech lift and homemade front bumper) along with 385/70R16 Toyo mt's. I obviously will need to regear and would like to throw an electronic locker in there as well. This is my daily driver/weekend toy. As far as the engine... well, I bought it with a slight misfire, so I swapped out the coils and plugs and it seemed to go away, but the check engine light stayed on... Turns out that I have low compression So instead of replacing the motor (which I have considered multiple times for a 3.9L cummins or lightning motor) I think I will just rebuild this 4.6, maybe bore it out and cam it for now. Day I brought it home Kumhos, browning sticker, nerf bars, and kobalt tool box installed Aluminum grill and cab lights Camo headliner Leveled, wheels painted black with front bumper off (hit a cross rut that I didn't see while mudding, according to my buddies, my front right wheel came off the ground and pushed the frame through the front bumper cracking it bad....) Thanks guys! Can't wait to get this beast finished. Haha yea, he made me an offer I couldn't refuse! I need something big and that screams MOVE B**CH!!
Good lookin truck. How loud are those road ventures? And how's the wear on em? Sent from my iFord f150
Thanks! The road venture's are somewhat loud, they have a good hum to em. I love the sound. Unfortunately the wear hasn't been very good... I bought them with 15/32nds on them new and with just over 20k they are down to about 7/32nds in the rear and 5/32nds in the front... I was told by a few people including a few review sites that I would get roughly 35-40k, but I guess it depends on the driver.
