Hey, my F250 is not a DD and it sits for days at a time without being used. My FICM has gone bad and I have bought a new one from FICMrepair.com and with the atlas 80 tune They say the batteries being low and alternator being bad can kill the FICM. So I have a maintainer/ charger and need to know which battery to hook it to to maintain both batteries. I assume either but what to check. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Googled it myself. Seems alot hook to Positive of one battery, Negative of the other. Links i went to: Trickle battery charger w/ dual batteries - Diesel Forum - TheDieselStop.com Dual Battery Set up- charging question - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums From battery Tender: Connecting Chargers Hope it helps you.
What this guy said. I go nuts if I don't drive my truck for a couple of days. I couldn't watch it sit for a week! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I put a battery tender on my truck's battery and its done a pretty good job of keeping the battery charge up.
I have my 99 toyota camery for DD.... But I do love the power of the 6.0 Spoke with the original owner, he is a picky fella, explains why the truck is so nice! I did find out it has been stuffed, EGR delete, oil cooler replaced, all the normal issues fixed. He had not replaced the FICM, and it started acting up so I replaced it with a programmed one.... It is a beast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
