Hey everyone name is Korwin, I'm new here I need everyone's pros and cons and advice.

I'm looking to get a 5th wheel toy hauler, I'm thinking a F250 could pull it fine but want to know what's better an F250 or F350 note it won't be pulling all the time maybe twice a month at most.

Now it's the motor debate. 7.3, 6.0, or 6.4? I know the 7.3 is a long lasting motor. I know the 6.0 is the lemon but still is a great motor. 6.4 I don't know much about.

    99-2003 7.3 PSD
Still with 200K-300K miles there aren't
that bad of deals out there on an
    older SuperDuty.

My friend recently sold his 2002 7.3
with 225K miles for $10K and bought a used
    2012 F350 6.7 with 10K miles for $42K.

I'm just waiting for the his first nightmare
like ceramic turbo bearing blow out or
    some weird cat-a-muffler-particulate-DEF
    problem.
He said we thought there wasn't any room
in 7.3, I see in a 6.7 one would be lucky to find a place
    for a dipstick wipe rag.

Welcome aboard! F250 and 350 have almost no difference. 250 is a 3/4 ton 350 is a 1 ton. Payload is different but tow ratings are the same. I think it's only an extra leaf spring or two.

We used to pull a 39 ft toy hauler with a v10 F350, srw.

It pulled it decently, a diesel would have given a little better mileage, and have been a little easier on the big hills though.

The 7.3 is an outstanding engine, the 6.0 is ok, though I would recommend head studs and egr delete.

Can't say much for the 6.4, or the 6.7, I don't know a lot about those.

I would also recommend something to help with stiction in the injectors, such as Hot Shot Secret, or something similar.

I would go for 7.3 too, towing is as easy as piece of cake.
