Went ahead and changed the rear shocks today. The OEM ones I pulled off actually wernt in that bad of shape, definitely better than the fronts were. Anyways, I can tell a huge difference while driving, alot bigger difference than I could tell after changing the front shocks.

Started a fog light retro fit project. Got half done cutting my clear lense and my dremal decided to die on me :/ it was a good tool i got some good heavy use from it for about 5 years. It was a dremal 3000 idk if I'm gonna get another 3000 or if I'll get the 4000. Anyways here's a pic of the housings painted black. [IMG][IMG]I will be taking the MH1s out of my headlights and putting them in the fogs and I'll put either FX-Rs or EvoX-Rs in the headlights with 50w ballast. I'm gonna make a custom cutoff shield for the MH1s so there is a flat cut off without a step since they will be in the fog housings. I may make a custom forground limiter too I'm not sure yet. Also the high beams will all be wired together so I will have quad high beams.

    I bought a Dremel Model 395 Type 5
with flexible shaft 225 in 1997 and
used it at work 5+ years and @ home.

    It is still going strong.

Bought some LED 50watt H10 bulbs for the Ranger
very bright in comparison to HID.
You should look at those if you haven't
    bought your HIDs yet.

I think I just let it over heat while I was cutting the lexan and that did it in. I took it apart and cleaned everything, checked all the solder, and reshaped the brushes but it still wouldn't turn on :/ I'll have to look into those. My reasoning behind doing the retrofit in the fogs was because I'm gonna have a complete kit left over if I upgrade to better projectors in the headlights. I havnt ordered anything yet tho. Right now I am running 6 inch led bars in the fog light location and they are bright but I would like something different to put there and I feel like people think im an ass driving around with the led bars on even though they are aimed as far down as they will go. Projectors in the fogs would definitely be different, I think I have only seen 1 other person do it.

Do those led bulbs glare into on coming traffic? That is an interesting option

If you have seen the led DRL lights on late model vehicles that is what they look like.
I even brought a set of 896 led bulbs to fit the head lights of my golf cart.
Cost about 30 bucks on Amazon depending on the vendor.

    But to each their own.

Guess if I built a good set of retros I would still want led too.

    I wouldn't call it glare.
    Just that people are used
    to yellow incandescent.

Rigid has new DOT approved lights with a cutoff, something else to check out.

Though I think having high beams in your fogs is pretty sweet

I'll have to look at that too I havnt seen those. And yeah quad high beams would be pretty awesome. I'm probably gonna end up putting the MH1s in there because im gonna have the whole set left over from projectors to the wiring once I upgrade my headlights.
