So i bought a complete project mustang a while ago, thought id throw up pics of progress. Its a 65 mustang coupe. Im restoring/ restomodding it. I have done every single thing on this car, ive learned as i went. I wanted to be able to say that i built the entire thing including paint an body and its been great learning experience. thought id throw up some pics of the progress of it. how i got it.... lots of sheetmetal replacement. New front inner fenders and cowl. Welded in new floors as well. and made sub frame connectors for it. then i started body work. got new rims shelby r code valance on designed grilles on autoCAD then made em on the car guide coat lowered 2 " front and rear. (empty gas tank so its sits high in rear)
more body work then yesterday i painted my fenders. GRABBER BLUE BABY. Came out great for my first paint job then last but not least the originial motor I built for her 69 302 edelbrock rpm intake holley 650 edelbrock rpm cam headers electric igniton since then ive swapped in a 1990 5.0 HO full roller motor. theres so much sheetmetal work that ive done but i didnt wanna upload all the pics. Ive spent so much time working on this and now its finally going somewhere.
not yet, im gonna paint the rest of the car next weekend and i had to order a custom flywheel for the motor so i cant install the motor till later this week. dont wanna put the body parts back on till i got the engine intalled so i dont scratch nothing. I got a 4 piston caliper slotted rotor swap coming too so ill throw that on before i put the fenders back on also. getting parts for this thing in alaska is a serious PITA. Ive probably spent about as much on shipping as i have on parts.
thanks man, its been a heck of a project to say the least. But in the end I can say that i did every single thing you see on that car. Not too many guys my age can say that, which i think is kind of cool. Ive learned so many tricks and techniques from doin this though which has been great. Aint been easy on my wallet though
