Ok, so as some of Yall have seen me post. I found a pic of a D2 flush mount in a 08+ tow mirror. The idea is great, but my issue is that you can not adjust the direction in any way. Up, down, left, right. So I have been thinking of other ways to put a light on the side for ditch/ side lights.

I have come up with 2 ideas. One will be a easier install than the other.

1st, the harder install. Get a rigid 6" SR2 combo and mount it under the mirror. It will fit, and I will have to remove the lower mirror, drill and mount the light. I will also have to drill where I can run wiring in the arm of the mirror into the door area.

2nd is in the pic below. Go in front of the bottom mirror arm and mount a D2 flood. That will need 1 hole for the mount and one hole behind that for the wiring. Should be a easier install and still a clean look.

With both these options I can adjust in all directions. I can adjust more with the 2nd option ( D2s) and would be more functional and easier to install.

My reason for adding any lights is to have them fully functional. I will wire the two mirror lights and 20" E2 combo driving/ hyperspot to one switch and then they will function as one and I will have a full 180 deg from side to side in the front of the truck covered.

I like the 6" under the mirror idea. Would you still be able to telescope or fold the mirror with the second option?

Mirrors would be fully functional with both options.

The 6" ones would not be as adjustable as the D2s but would be a cleaner look. It's hard to decide between the two. One is cleaner but one is more functional and easier to install.
