Out expy has adjustable pedals/ seat with the memory setting switch on the door panel. Does anyone have any experience dealing with this? I know there is the common gear splitting issue which is not my problem. The pedals in the expy are auto adjusting to the default setting and sticking. The adjust switch only works half the time to put them back down. The seat will also auto adjust to the default setting at random times. That switch always works to put it back though. Basically both the seat and the pedals return to the default setting at key off (all the way up) I'm 6'3", the pedals all the way up is NOT comfortable at all ha ha. Key on, I can move the seat back but not the pedals. Sometimes the seat will move back to default right away but will usually stay after the second time I move it. after about 2 mins of driving the pedal switch will work but only about half the time. I have a feeling it has something to do with the memory deal, but I know nothing about this whole thing. Any idea where I should start?

Sounds like you are on the right track.

There has to be a eprom (chip) memory module
somewhere in the seat and pedals control circuit.

My guess is the eprom has a partial failure and needs replacing.

Looks like it's time to pull the seat! That's not a fun position to work in ha ha. I wonder if there is a way to bypass it. We don't ever use the auto set deal. We just want to be able to move the pedals freely ha ha. Guess I'll have to track it down, disconnect it and see what it do.

So I was fiddling with the driver seat memory module, and while checking a few other connections and the pedal adjustment switch I noticed the pedal adjustment works, but only when the head/running lights are on. Now I'm more stumped than I was before. Doesn't seem like it's a module issue at this point. Does anyone know if the headlight switch and pedal switch are linked somewhere?

Doesn't seem right the memory module and
headlights are on the same circuit.

Might be a grounding issue on the memory
    module and it's backfeeding
thru the headlight circuit to get power.

Look at the wire connectors contact points.
There may be corrosion or poor contact.
Use dielectric grease on the connectors
    metal contact points.

This may or may not fix it but worth a try.

I'll try that out tomorrow. Thanks, joe! I need to get a new portable light first. Someone broke mine today..... It was me... I broke my light.

Def De - fuse the air bag power circuit before diving in.

They had a policy at the chassis upfitter: Anyone who accidentally sets off an airbag is fired on the spot, get your tools and don't come back.
