Did your pads get noticeably black when you were buffing? Provided your paint was clean of any dirt or oxidation prior, pads turning black would be an indicator of single stage as you would be removing color coat from the car. If they were staying clean it would be an indicator of clear coat as you would only be removing clear. It might be possible to tell by the paint code as well. My little bit of research this morning is showing the color code for your car being UA black, which at least in '93 was a cleared color, provided the info in this list is correct. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
Nope, no black coming off. I read that as well, confirmed color code is ua, leads me to believe my buddy is full of it Ba ha. Thanks again man for all the help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
there are some colors that just look better in a single stage vs bc cc, imo. some of the sexiest black paint jobs Ive seen were single stage. I went bc cc on my both my mustangs but sometimes I wish I went ss on the grabber blue one. there is a difference in how they look if you look closely.
Oh yeah, I saw some single stage fox bodies when I was looking up the info, it can look sexy. Not really practical for a car that's driven often though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Might be a possibility later on. I'm enjoying it as it is for the time being. I went ahead and join the sn95 forum you posted though! There's some fm good info there.
