My hub completely destroyed my axle spindle. What are my options. The new hub and bearings sit perfect however the seal surface is FUBAR. Image1469704796.361696.jpg

Here's what it's supposed to look like Image1469704823.752127.jpg

    Welcome to fordfullsize.com

I don't have rear drum brakes.

Dress it with an ultra fine wire brush then progressive finer and finer
wet dry sandpaper and run an over size seal ?

Thanks for the response! Those are actually our parking brakes inside the disk. I think that's what I am going to do. Also the manual doesn't call for sealant on either side of the new seal. However when removing the old there was sealant inside the hub and seal. I'm wording of I could do the same on the axle as the seal is 2 parts and spins within itself. I can't see any other solution other then replacing the axle. This is what I get for buying a pretty truck. Guy must have never changed the gad damn differential oil. It was brown when I drained it . Replacing all the bearings in pumpkin as well I guess

Now ya have me wondering about mine.
Changed the diff oil fanatically but have missed
changing the parking brake shoes in a timely manner.

I'm curious, how many miles on your F250/F350?

So after a half hour of panic and thinking somehow my axle grew some new steel. I found that my race was still on the axle from the inner bearing.... Look how gone it was!!! [IMG]
