Get in there and pry on all those connection areas. Not barbarian strength, Just move the joint far enough to find it's limit and see if it goes more. If the dust boots are worn / torn / brittle look for shiny metal inside, especially if it's loose or rusty. Best to replace components with bad dust boots. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
That's what I'm talking about. That's for your reply. Got under there and found the tie rods have alot of play and the middle. Can shake them with ease. Going to Rip those bad boys out Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
These trucks also have a tendency to have worn out steering gear boxes. Most of my front suspension is pretty new and I still have about 4 inches of play in the wheel Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
Most likely the steering box. But the play isn't crazy to avoid highway you get use to it after driving 5 hrs back from getting it lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
Have you looked at the Redhead steering boxes ? https://www.redheadsteeringgears.com/product/1980-97-ford-f-series-with-2-bolt-top-cover/
Hey I got the bushings, but can you link my the hardware for them? The bolts don't look that great. Figuring I should just go all new. Do it one time. When I look for them i get ones that say they won't fit my truck Sent from my LG-V410 using Tapatalk
