okay i gotta change my ball joints on my f250. dont really want to pay the $117 bucks to rent a press.... i think i can make one with a C clamp and pipe with a end welded into it. what do yall think? if i got to ill just rent one, just dont see paying more to rent a tool then i pay for my ball joints all together.
hmmm, i would just rent it. i mean, its not like they keep any of the 117. Hell, you'll get it all back. w/ the time & effort it will take to make one, you might have been able to do the whole job w/ the rental in that same time. just my thoughts. make pics if you do fab one up for sure!
yeah man i would just go ahead and rent the tool, you get your money back when you turn the tool back in
idk what that is. lol and ill prob just rent it. figured might be worth a try. makin it to get em out would be ez but fixing it to press it back in would be where it would be tricky... me and turkey hunter fabed up a clutch puller for his 4wheeler and it worked perfect got my ego up lol
I never even knew they made a tool for this...lol I have always just installed them. Taking them out is not hard either if you are replacing worn old ones. Do some googling on the net and you can find useful articles on install and removal. Tools you might need. Sockets, picklefork, C-clamp, BFH
I paid like $350 for my balljoint sets. I the set that has the press and the master adapter set from matco tools.
