    Get her Friday morning!

    1996 F150 XLT

    5.0L V8
    135k miles
    Electric everything inside
Limit slip rear with 3.55 gearing
    4x4

Truck is in pretty damn good shape. Scratches and dents, some clear coat peeling, needs a dash piece or two but she runs.

According to the previous owner, who only had it for 2 months, plugs were changed, wires, cap & rotor, alternator, cam sensor, 1 o2 sensor, and a few bushings underneath on the suspension.

Already changed the oil, fixed the rough idle/misfire, air filter, front pads and shocks. Ac compressor does not work and is pulled out of the way and set in top of the fuse box, bypass pulley was installed but I plan on fixing the compressor soon.

Rear needs some work, might get it done today, needs brake service. Sounds like springs are rolling around in the drum on the driver side.

Some quick pictures of the underbody. Extremely clean for something in Michigan, no doubt this truck isn't from here.

Frame will be painted with por15 when I get the time.

Right now I'm focused on the mechanics and interior.

Hit the junk yard, grabbed 2 door speakers for the truck. I need a new door panel too but no luck.

Pulled the drums off, shoes are all cracked and beat up. Got some new drums and shoes to put on tonight after I do some lame stuff around the house haha

Drum on the passenger side wouldn't come off, sprayed it and let it sit before hitting it a few more times with a sledge.

Have I mentioned that I hate drum brakes?

Gotta pick up 2 wheel cylinders when the store opens.

    I hate drum brakes.

New shoes, drums and cylinders instead.

Ordered some rear shocks, ended up going with the Monroe gas magnum, didn't have the LT option like I have on the front. Got the fronts for like $18/each and the rear for $28/each. Pays to have friends at part stores!

Previous owner said he replaced the crank sensor, I think he might have meant that he MEANT to change it, truck is throwing a code.
