Anyone that follows this thread know gears? How's this pattern look? Not sure on pinion depth because I don't have a tool but the back lash is 0.0075"[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Got the pattern to what I think is perfect. Still waiting on this stupid Yukon ls rebuild kit. It was supposed to be here today but didn't show up. Looks like if I didn't rebuild the axle now I would have been soon anyways [IMG] yep that's chipped ring gear teeth on the old gear

    I agree with Danny.
The depth looks nearly spot on too.

Got everything buttoned up tonight. The truck drives awesome and the gears don't make any noise! What I didn't think about was the exhaust. It does 2200 rpm at 70 now so it's rather loud on the highway compared to what it used to be. So I might be changing that soon. Other than that I absolutely love it. So hard to keep my foot out of it until the gears break in

Something like that. Suppose to take it easy for 500 miles. No towing or hard accelerations. no drives longer than 25 miles for the first 100 with 30 minute breaks between trips. Then change the oil after 500 and give her hell

Here's a video of how it does on the highway. I love how it will hold OD now and actually speed up
