    Hey all.
I have a 96 f250 still running with the Ob1 computer. My question is. Would it be possible to swap it to carb from efi? I read posts saying it's costly because of the cpu and gauges possibly go thru the efi. But I want your guys opinion. My truck doesn't run right. Brought it to a mechanic and they told me the efi needs to be redone. I would rather just take the top off engine and put carbs in to be done with it. I'm still a rook with this truck
So any help would be grand. Be gentle I'm still learning to search on my phone.

:welcome: Make sure to post up an intro thread with tons of pics!

As far as the efi -> carb swap, its possible, but may not be legal for a road vehicle. Depending on the problem, you may be able to get a new computer from the junkyard or RockAuto and fix it that way.

Going to a carb may fix your issues short term, but will decrease your mpg, power (probably), and shorten the life of the engine.

What about this as a solution and do away with setting and
    wearing out carbs ever again.
I know it's over $1K for the minimum system, but how much
is re-doing the stock EFI parts plus labor?
