I have a 2012 xlt vibrating on low and high speeds
New Michelin tires with several alignments and many wheel balancing. But still vibrating...
The car is out of warranty so eventually I have to hunt this issue my self.
I’ve been trying to diagnose this issue since 2 years now but never nailed it.
Driveline has been inspected several times and had no nick marks or loose parts.
Ball joints and wheel bearings tested by experts and checked out ok.
Cv axles taken apart and inspected also were in good shape.
3 engine mounts physically inspected and were good too.

Put the car on the lift and put in drive and watch the tires and there she goes wobbling staring 10-20mph.
But could never pin point the cause of the wobble.
On highway it becomes obvious @ 65-70mph.
After that it disappears until 100-110mph.

Checked the front and back end suspension and found zero play in any part.

The vibration feels everywhere front to back that you can’t really tell exactly where to pin point a direction.
This vehicle has seen better days in sand dunes and rough roads and got stock many times and had been pulled out of sand by several vehicles.

Oh about taking it to the dealers, please don’t ask me, dealer knowledge is just a disaster! With their parts cannon trial and error on your pocket OfCourse.

Any ideas or directions what to look for..?

    Makes no sense when
    everything possible has been
    checked or tested.

You say on the lift you can see it start wobbling ?
    Very perplexing !

Front Axles have been tested for runout in a specialist machine shop and checked out ok.
But not yet done the back ones.

Yup yup see and feel it too.

My own suspicion is roaring around 2 things:
    Tranny or rear diff.
These are my only left rotating options which I really hate to take apart.
I just hate the whole car now and fed up with it.

I would appreciate it if anyone who came across same experience shares ideas & possible solutions. Thank you

I know this is an old thread and u might have already found the problem but check the tpm sensors. My Navi was doing the same thing. Found it after a year of looking for the problem when we put new tires on. The sensors are on a band around the rim. Band breaks and it starts to bounce around in there
