Hey all, I'm looking at possibly purchasing a 2010 F-250 XLT, 5.4L, automatic, gasser, with 57k miles. Never had a Ford before, but everyyhing on the truck looks pretty much stock. It's being sold for $27k. Wondering if that's a fair price, and what I should be expecting in the future for breaking and other than normal maintenance. Thanks, Josh Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I would look for another one with a larger motor. The 5.4 was barely adequate for the f150s, it doesn't work for a larger truck
Thanks for the info... Ended up not getting it today. On the way to the dealership, they called and said someone else bought it. I'll keep an eye out for that engine size issue though. Thanks. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Welcome to fordfullsize.com Josh aka jssmith76. Kelly Blue Book.com would be a good guide to use for fair market value. Using year, make, model and options along with zip code to assess fair pricing in your area. Whether it be private, dealer or trade in values. Also take into consideration wear and tear issues on interior and exterior and any add on accessories adding to the value. Many dealer lots want a premium price for any vehicle they have on their lots and many times buying from an individual can save dollars especially after an agreed price has been reached by both the seller and buyer. Word to the wise. NEVER buy a salvaged or rebuilt titled vehicle unless you have experience in the inspection process required to get these types of vehicles back into the system of approved for on-road use again.
