2011 Sound system install with Video

    Ok guys I worked on installing my components for a bit on Friday night, and then pretty much all day saturday. I got a lot done...

    My component list:

    JL Audio XD700/5 Amp
    JL Audio Cleansweep
    Polk Audio db5251 component speakers (front)
    Polk Audio db571 coaxial speakers (rear)
    Polk Audio mm1040 10" sub
    All new Monster XLN speaker wire run to doors
    Monster 4awg power wire
    Stock headunit
    Custom made amp rack made out of MDF board
    Custom made front speaker adapters made out of MDF board

    man nice job indeed man. i have been wanting to do the dynamat to the whole truck: doors, roof, backwall... damn you for beating me. great video and nice idea bout the connectors. great locations for all your new knobs too. doesnt look overwhelming since you put them "here and there" rather than all in one lump spot. i always hated tryin to tap a wire and not seein where it needed to be. :waytogo:

    I am still working out a few bugs in the system. but for the most part it is running and sounds great.

    I have a bit of low level "fuzz" in the speakers when the sound is completely turned down. Its not very noticable when driving, but i know its there and it annoys me. I have been playing with the settings on the amp, but to no avail.

    Also, I have a bit of alternator whine. I installed some RCA grounds, but they didnt help either.

    So im still trouble shooting. But its functional and sounds great when I turn it up.
