It'll be interesting to see what the Focus price ends up being. I checked out the Golf R and almost $40k is a big chunk of change for a hot hatchback. But what a fantastic commuter..

does VW offer a 100k warranty?

Don't think so. I think their basic warranty is 3/36 and that covers the usuals + free maintenance for the 3/36. Then their drivetrain is 5/60 and rust is 10/unlimited. I'm not sure about the R and if it will have its own warranty rather than the standard Golf warranty. Same thing with the Focus. I'm guessing like most of Ford's special package vehicles the warranty will be a little different from the standard.

As far as RS pricing goes, I'm guessing it's gonna come in around 36k to 41k. No way it's any lower than that. The ST sells for almost 30k when you opt for the Recaros and every bell and whistle. Really the current Golf GTI is a better buy over the ST being you can score one for less than 25K. Pricey little hatches, but you are getting a good bit of performance at that price. Standard Mustang GT is damn near 38K right now with the dealer adding their fees due to the demand.

    RS has electric power-assisted steering?
We know how that worked out for Chevy.

Could wait and get one with a few clicks on
the odometer at a cheaper than new price.

    No.

Evos look better. New Subies look like they have Down's syndrome.
