If you have a single din Metra kit in an 04 and up F150, can you snap me a picture of what it looks like installed?

I used one of these last night and I either got some sort of generic kit or it just fits like arse. The head unit is recessed in the dash and there is a large gap with 4 holes visible around it. The trim ring that came with the kit to flush it out with the dash is only used in ISO installs so the faceplate is crammed behind it if you try to use it for a din mount.

This thing has a pocket under the head unit large enough to hide a body in too.

I noticed the quality of dash kits has gone down since the 1990's.
They try to make them "universal" fit kits even though it's within a vehicle's make/model specs.

One of the biggest complains after an install from our customers was, "Why are there so many gaps?"

According to Crutchfield, I do have it installed the way that the Metra manual states.... (I figured that).

    snap me a pic, dude.

I want to see if there is a piece missing. I think I may be able to mount this thing through the ring that they sent to use with the ISO mount. I may have to do some trimming but I'm not leaving it like that.

I just went out to the parking lot and ripped it out of the dash again and tried every way possible to put the radio in with that extra trim ring. It's not happening.

Now I get to reprogram the head unit because I had to unplug it. grrrr...

Programming this thing is like working on the space shuttle.

Not that I have seen for the 2004+ models.

I ordered the one for my 97 with the pocket on top.
