Thanks you sir! Thanks dude! Go for it, Taking the trim off was easy. Removing the left over adhesive was the pita part. I would definitely suggest getting an eraser wheel for removing the left over adhesive. I ended up borrowing one and it made the whole deal a whole lot easier. Thanks!
Saw these being used at the chassis up fitter to remove the sticky residue. 3M silicone wheel. The other side is a shaft to chuck into a cordless drill. Worked great and didn't harm the paint. https://www.google.com/shopping/pro....3&ei=c4s-U_faHJHgsASPw4HADg&ved=0CLUCEKYrMBE
I like it!! I always wanted to take the trim off my 97 but then I got in that lovely off-roading accident and caved in the corner of my cab
Looks sharp. Now I'm kicking the idea around for once it warms up. Think I'd also need to strip my pin stripes for it to look right... hmmm Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Yeah thats basically what I used. It was literally like a big eraser on a pencil that you put on the drill and it takes the adhesive right off. I'd get one if you plan on removing trim, pinstripes and what ever with adhesive. Thanks! When did you cave in the corner of your cab on your 97? haha I don't remember you posting about it. Thanks man! I was really skeptical about it at first, but with it all said and done I think it looks 100x better. I say go for it. Thanks! Removing it really cleans up the look. I like the pinstripe on your truck though. You could always leave the pinstripe on there at first and if it looks bad remove it.
Looks awesome dude! This things gone from your regular ol truck to something sexy. Keep it up! Sent from my iPhone 5s using Tapatalk
