Thanks man. Looks like this is the one. 2005 Eddie Bauer 4x4 96k miles. Getting it for $11,300, we put a deposit on it today. They just got it in on trade so our pick up is pending inspection and detail. If it meets our expectations when we go to pick it up we will finalize the deal then and there. It's pretty damn clean so other than something hiding that I didn't see today it looks like we will be driving it home. I snapped one pic really quick when we were there. It's at a local ford dealer so it'll be a certified pre owned ford... Not that it means anything ha ha.

Went to test drive/pay for/pick up the expi. And the fugger ticks like crazy at 1000rpms. We paid for it since it is clean as hell, with the stipulation that they inspect and deal with the ticking. Turns out it's the cam phasers, they said they wouldnt fix it since it's not bad enough to be deemed a safety concern and it falls under preventative maintenance not under a vehicle flaw. I told them to sell it to some idiot who didn't know any better and id be coming to get my $13k back. I was starting up my truck to head out there and they called me asking what it would take to satisfy us, I told them I'm not driving that car off the lot with it ticking, they offered to cover the labor if I bought the parts, I went ahead and did it after verifying at another ford dealer that the price they quoted me for parts wasn't a rip off. I figured I'd be addressing this on any other expi one way or another and this was probably the most cost effective way.

13k was after tax and license, I paid quite a bit below asking price and kbb, If I paid asking price and they weren't willing to work with me, I'd be getting my money back.
