Hope ya get it running when condenser goes on. No reason it shouldn't, coil was working few days ago. Never would have thought rusted condenser would cause symptoms you described. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
I really hope this works I just ordered the new one and I'm going to try cleaning up and ground the one on there now just to make sure that's the problem. Also can I just leave that security system box unplugged or should I try and cut it out cause it's real annoying have the doors lock everytime you close the door. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
If it runs with the main security system box unplugged, good. If not, You can clip the three small guage wires that go to the door lock relays and tape them up. Route that red starter wire up away from the engine, tape it to another wire harness, best to loom it with wire loom. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
It looked like the original red with gray stripe was tucked into the fender by the starting solenoid. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Someone added the black 90 degree wire fitting onto that quick ran red wire that triggers the start solenoid. If you test the end of the red with gray stripe found by the solenoid in the fender hole I bet it still works when key is in crank position. If so you could delete that quick ran red wire and just connect end of red/gray to end of black to start solenoid trigger. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Ya that red wire is next on my list of things to fix. I always laugh at the surprises/lazy hacks i find everytime I get a old used car Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
When I get the new condenser do you think it would be fine to paint it or coat it in something (except the part that the grounding strap covers)to keep it from rusting out again Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk Small update I cleaned up and grounded that old rusty condenser but it still hasn't fixed my problem and I also switched that red wire with the stock one and when I did that it doesn't crank at all I turn the key and nothing happens
Connect the two ends of the red/gray seperated by the relay where the solid red wire connects by the blue scotchlock. Bypassing the relay. Axle grease would keep condenser from rusting again. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
