Ok, what do you keep in your truck? Do you have a Kit or just a tow strap?

I will be putting together a recovery bag for my Toyota 4 Runner.

    It will contain:

    1 pair of leather gloves
    2 snatch straps
    1 wire winch remote
    2-4 Shackles
    1 can fluid film
    Large assortment of zip ties
    basic hand tools

    That is it so far.

What do you suggest I add and what do you carry?

Duct tape and electrical tape, thanks for reminding me!!

I will eventually get a high-lift and mount it to the back role cage bar. Found a home made mount. It will be clean and out of the way!

^^ what he said. Shovel/pick, gas can, water jug, Id go with chains instead of straps, flashlight (s). also some waders of extra pants, you never know when youll get hi centered in a puddle... ive seen it many times.

My rigs not a wheeler obviously, but I keep an exact double of the hand tools in my truck as i have in my work bench. I also have blocks, straps, a bin of assorted screws, bolts, nuts, wire nuts etc. Ive got hammers, squares, wire, come along, dozens of other things you could possibly think of on a jobsite... sadly you can load up your toolbox with anything and everything you can imagine, but you will always need something you dont have...

I've got a hi-lift jack, a 180pc toolkit, my tool box with electrical stuff, tape, and zip-ties. A short 6000lb rope with hooks and then a 30' strap rated to 30,000 working lbs.

Thats what I carry daily lol If I was off-roading, I'd have some chains and a shovel for sure.

I have just about every hand tool I can think that I would need, floor jack, gloves, tape, zip ties, tow strap, shackles, ratchet straps, small 12v air compressor, flashlight, bolt cutters, gojo, towels, tire plugs, jumper cables, and some other stuff I caint think of. But I don't do that much off-roading.
