F250 front leaf springs

Hi guys, I'm new here and am a high school student. I have a 96 f250 (old body style) and my front end sits about 4.5in lower then my rear end. As far as I know everything is stock so it should sit close to level right? I mean I know the front is supposed to be a little lower but 4.5in? It has a leaf spring front suspension that basically looks reversed. It literally looks like someone took them and flipped them. So my question is how to fix it? Can you actually flip leaf springs? Are they just weak and need replaced? Or is that a normal ford thing? I will post pictures when I can. Thanks for any help, Josh.

Welcome probably need new springs but pics would help for sure

 

Pics would help, but it sounds like thems went floppy on ya... Happens with age, ask those guys ^^^

Just to give ya an idea of different springs.

1980 - 1997 Ford F250 Leaf springs - front and rear

 

Here's how it sits, it was a little too dark to get the actual leaf but I'll try to take a picture after school.

 

I would guess you have worn out leaf springs

 

Almost looks like rear air shocks
pumped way up.
Second vote on the front springs.
