anyone have fix for outside wear on front tires of f350 4x2. gone thru 2 sets of tires in 33,000 miles ford says it is in spec.
Ron. Something def isn't right if you've gone thru 2 sets (8) tires and they were rotated and balanced every 7500. Sounds like a toe-in problem to me. Shouldn't camber be set to near zero on those trucks? I've heard of a caster fix for 2005-2010 trucks. I want to lay under my friend's 2012 F350 and look at that setup. I know this says death wobble but it shows the caster fix @ 5:36. DEATH WOBBLE - POWERSTROKE - SUPERDUTY - YouTube
What tires are you using? Are you towing a lot? It could be in spec with an empty bed, then way out with a heavy trailer or payload
Tow 3,000 miles they replace tires with general tires and balance and rotate every 5,000 mi. Independent said to put a chamber kit in which ford agreed to but did not fix problem. New tires have 7000 mi and half of depth on outside rib is gone on both tires. Only towed 1,000 mi.
Are they 10-ply? I wore out a set of C-Range tires in a winter running empty with my Toe-in being just a little off. Do you have a tire warranty?
