Update on the Gates. Had it installed of the last 2 weeks without any problems. Starts whining at 4k rpm, but nothing bad. Hopefully it lasts 50k like the stock belt did

The whine above 4k I expected, it's got a crosshatch pattern instead of the zig-zag of the Gatorback. Other ppl have compared it to a superchager whine, but I'm not an idiot, so I won't say that.

Nah, the Gatorback is from the design the belt has. Goodyear had a very popular tire in the mid 80's to early 90's that was named Gatorbacks. They took the same technology and applied it to their belts. They're super quiet and very effective at what they're suppose to do.

Just check your local Auto parts place. I got mine from AutoZone. :waytogo:

I had an 04 Supercharged Saleen with a Kenne Bell 2.1 blower. I kept replacing the gates belt that KB reccomended. It would start out making noise...chirping , then after boosting a few times, it would slip badly and wear out. I was turned onto Gatorback by a friend and never looked back. Awesome belt that had a much different groove pattern. Never replaced it and I kept the car two more years.
