put new brake pads on the truck, cant get a solid pedal. I replaced all pads and bled everything but the right rear, I couldn't get the damn bleeder undone. got a brand new caliper today because the bleeder ended up breaking off inside lol, I have horrible luck! new caliper has been installed with new crush washer for the brakeline/caliper connection. bled everything caliper starting with RR then LR, RF and LF. clear fluid out of each caliper. for some stupid reason I cant seem to get the pedal solid, I have no braking power at all. been messing with it for hours and cant seem to find out wtf is going on. anyone? I had braking power before I put this new caliper on, pedal felt like it had air in it though. I figured that was because I was unable to bleed the rear caliper.
You sure there isn't any leaks anywhere? Or rusted lines, also what're you using to bleed em? And is the truck runnin while you're doing it?
no leaks, fluid level is perfect. using proper sized flarnut wrench to open bleeders with my dad on the pedals. open bleeder, have my dad push down and hold it, close bleeder and repeat. truck is running. master cylinder was replaced 3 years ago but im beginning to wonder if it went again. if the booster went bad the pedal would be hard, that's not the case.
This might be the problem. Unless the process is different for vehicles? when I do it on sleds/bikes/ATVs.... Start with closed bleeder. Pump brakes multiple times, then hold. Then open bleeder and let built up air squirt out. Then close bleeder. Repeat the process as needed. Sent from my SCH-R760 using Tapatalk 2
Yup when bleeding, person on the bleeder says push. When he pushes down you crack it open, let it flow. Then close it and then yell up an he lets off the pedal, then again down and crack it. If you have it open before or after the pedal is down its not gonna work
ill try to bleed it some more tomorrow and let yall know. I would hate to have to replace the master again.
