Thanks! Couldn't believe I found em at the junk yard. I need to put the tires in the 3rd picture on the new rims.
Still have a P0385 code. Getting a bit irritated. Code pops up when I smash the pedal, truck can idle without throwing code. Ran a KOER test, came up with P1000 and a P1408 which is fine the EGR system. Says to either clean EGR/replace and replace the DPFE sensor. I don't understand why this P1408 code isn't popping uo when the truck is running normally, only the P0385 is, which indicates a misfire.
I've got a misfire I just can't find it. Its gotta be in the egr system. The way the truck idles isn't right. Im about to go buy a new egr, DPFE and egr solenoid module Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
I did. Also switched the EGR. Still had the code. Wondering if there's a possibility if there was issue with both parts. I had switched then at different points. I also have replaced the EGR tube. I guess I could try the EGR vacuum solenoid. That was another part that was listed. I didn't want to start throwing new parts at it but im getting pretty frustrated lol Short of throwing a different 5.0 in it. Almost everything on this engine is new. Timing is on, trigger wheel for the crank sensor/misfire detection sensor looks to be in good shape, it spins in an even circle as the crank spins. I can't seem to find any evap leak anywhere, new hoses everywhere. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
yea. i thought about that BUT i keep reading that if i have an issue with that sensor in the distributor that the vehicle wont even start. i guess itll get to a point where ill have to pull that out and replace it too.
It may not be bad, just flaky. I've always had no complaint service from Blue Streak cap and rotor sets. All brass on the anode rotor tip and electrode plug wire terminals. I keep one on the shelf for the FE 360. Galaxy S4 Cetane Powered Android
