Nothing, just keep it clean. We own a 2009 Altima that still smells like new. Keep it dusted and vacuumed and wiped down and the smell will last a while.

Like bama said you have to keep the leather clean to keep the scent. Like if you drive it everyday clean it everyday.

    VOC

That new smell is from all the VOC's evaporating from the interior parts, carpet, trim, headliner, plastics, ect.
Similar to chemicals that the huffers use like what is in gold spray paint.
People get a high from smelling new vehicle interiors.

Here is a short list of VOC's that are in the materials of vehicle interiors.

    Acetaldehyde
    Acetone
    Benzene
    Nonanal
    Toluene
    1,1,1-Trichloroethane
    Chloromethane
    Ethylbenzene
    Formaldehyde
    m- & p-Xylenes
    n-Decane
    n-Dodecane
    n-Undecane
    o-Xylene
    1,2,4-Trimethylbenzene
    d-Limonene
    Hexanal
    Phenol
    Ethyl Acetate
    Tetrachloroethene
    2,2,4-Trimethyl-1, 3-Pentanediol
    Diisobutyrate
    2-Ethyl-1-Hexanol
    Nonane
    Ethanol
    2-Propanol

Go ahead and have some sweaty sex in it to get the new smell out of the way and then hang one of these:
