The thought crossed my mind, it's clearing up though. The only "rough" running I'm having now is in gear at idle. The rpms drop and then pop back up repeatedly, no more misfires or anything. I've still only put about 70 miles on it. I don't have any other symptoms of bad cups as of now and I inspected them best I could.

Oh yeah! Drove it around another 30 or so miles and just let those tunes do their work. The idle has smoothed out for the most part, idles down every once in a while but I think the air is my culprit. Got my tuner figured out, I didn't know I had to reprogram my switch along with the chip, dumb oversight on my part.

Still need to figure out what's going on with my pyrometer, the gauge is working so I think it might be the brand new probe I got. I need to test it but my multi meter has ceased to function, I'll have to pick one up.

    Good to hear.
Bug here bug there, you`ll get them cleared up brah.

Do you have a High Pressure cross over?

I`ve never had a speck of trouble with my pyro setup
from Bully Dog in (knock on wood) almost 13 years.

I do not but it might be worth looking in to.

I went with glow shift. Cheap but effective... So far. They've lasted about 4 years so far. It appears it's the probes going bad, not so much the gauges themselves.

I've been neglecting the little things for some time now, pyrometer and trans temp hasn't worked in a year or so but I haven't needed them, I wasn't overheating anything with my old set up. Now I really need to watch those egts.

    Sinister Diesel has a HPX
    all SS thick wall tubing
    Aircraft fittings for $70
The design lets any air rise to the high point in the HPX.

Check, clean the connector @ the transmission temp sensor.
Had an issue with mine several years ago but new female terminal, clean contact point on the sensor and dielectric grease been working great several years now.

Got my egt gauge working last week, turns out the gauge was bad. Installed my airdog 150 today. Only idled it for a minute or so, but it already seems like it quieted the injectors down a bit.

My neighbor lent me his atv jack, so I went tank down instead of the bed up.

Yep! She runs a ton smoother now, and I don't have to worry about damaging my new injectors with low fuel pressures!

I'm done modding for now. The only thing im going to do later is add a new trans temp gauge (mines bad) and a fuel pressure gauge. The airdog has the port for the pressure sensor, and already has the sensor wires in the harness they provided. All I have to do is literally plug and play! I also need a boost fooler. It's defueling at 24psi, which it's supposed to. I'm going to get the driven diesel "overboost annihilator".

I think the only other major mod I'm going to do is a 38r bb turbo later on. I had the turbo off last year to do the ats housing and the billet wheel and there was no shaft play. I'll just replace it with the upgrade when it goes out.
