I have an 04 f150 4.6L with 125k miles. I just noticed I had oil in my air filter and some leakage under it. Any idea what could cause this? Or how I can fix this? I've noticed my oil low probably caused by this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Blow by coming back through the intake valves.
    Doesn't sound good.
Notice any loss in power recently?
Stab a quart of Lucas Synthetic Oil Stabilizer in there.

How many miles on this air filter? Notice any low oil in the engine?

Maybe 3k. And yes. I've noticed it a little low. Just did oil change yesterday. And I would say it was at least a quart low

I'm taking it to the shop Thursday. They are going to check things over for me. They said I could have a bad injector also. I will write back and let you know what find out. I hate when people ask for help and then don't come back to give feedback after they figure stuff out.

Ok so here it is! #4 only has 4psi and #1 has only 70 psi. All others are normal. So yah, motor is junk! Just got my other motor shipped here today. Found one in Nebraska with only 56k miles. Got it shipped to Ohio. Only 1,175 total. Not to terrible. Just waiting on my mechanic to finish up on another vehicle to get mine in. Then I can finally get those 4.88 gears on he darn truck. I still have to get a good programmer still. Sorry it took awhile for me to post back. By the way. It was so bad. I did a fresh oil change on a Saturday. Drive maybe 75 miles and was 2quarts low!

    Glad you found out.
Compression going straight into the crankcase forcing the oil back into the airbox by way of the pcv.

Now if your labor costs are lower or the same as parts ya doing great.
