Possibly trashed U joints?

    Should be? Or can lol. I'd rather buy the joints instead of a driveshaft

    Dosen't the bearing cups have a retaining "C-clip"
    that holds them into the yokes?

    you can just replace the u-joints.... you can see the c-clip in the first pic.

    ^^^ yea, and I hope you aint driving your truck around town, down the highway like that. Your u-joint could go at anytime now that the cap is cracked, and you DONT want a driveshaft to come lose down the highway. trust me on this.

    I just meant they might be pretty rusted in there and alot of times the c clamp trick doesn't work so you might need a press

    oh, it'll come out easy since you already have a cap broke. the trick will be trying to get the new one seated in there w/ the shaft still on. if you were up this way like your Rents, i'd say come on by and we'll :boxing: it out together.

    Have torch and PB Blaster ready.

    Got lucky in 1989, my Datsun 510 made it
    30 miles from Dalton, GA to Chattanooga, TN with
    one entire bearing cup gone until I could
    get to my tools at home.

    get some zip-ties and cross strap that **** to your yoke. atleast if it goes it wont be bangin around your undercarriage
