I scored a set a 18x10 weld forged cheyenne 5s today for $350! They look to be in good shape, just same slight scratches and obviously filthy. I have never worked on forged wheels before. Where should I start? 1000 grit wet sand? I polished this one for about 3 minutes and it came out awesome. Do you have any tips? I want these to look mint [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

There's that red / beige rouge at
    Harbor Frieght supposed to
    work great on aluminum with
    a cloth type wheel.
I'd say chucked into a variable
speed tool to find the right
    turning speed.

Got a polishing wheel, white Dimond, 800, 1000, 2000, 3000, and 5000 grit sand paper so I think I should be able to get them taken care of. The insides are gonna need alot of work. Looks liek they have never been polished.

The lip of this one before and after. That's only up to an 800 grit wet and and polish just for shits and giggles. I'll be taking it up to 5000 then polish [IMG][IMG] and after [IMG]
