Should I keep this hood or scrap it. I think its the original one to my 67 F100 but its rusting pretty bad underneath and around where the hood hinges go.

I got another hood from a 70-72 F100 in a trade. But its in better shape as fa as rust but has few dents that need fixed.

I wanna keep it too. One reason is nobody reproduces sheet metal hoods on the 67-72 ford truck hoods. I can replacement hood in fiberglass.

The outside rust is just surface rust but its rotting out underneath pretty bad. I got the hood in this past august in this condition when I got the truck for free.

You or someone you know couldn't fix the rotting part of the hood?? It would take some time but its well worth it.

I dont know if its fixable of not. I'll pics of it over the weekend and post them up.

Plus I still have to find the holes where the hood letters go. Someone covered them with body filler etc.

As long as the structure of the hood is still in decent shape it's okay. You won't find an aftermarket one that fits as good as an original one.
