Single Non Roller vs Double Roller Timing Sets

    I wanna your experiences with either one. I have to replace mine on the 390 and thinking on going with double which is $25 more the single non chain set.

    Never rebuilt a ford engine... But in all my GM engines i use double roller....Or Gear drives....

    Personally I prefer a single roller unless its a high HP engine. A roller chain has less friction and will last much longer than a non roller. If your going with a stock or mild motor, just get a single roller. Another difference is noise. A roller chain will a little louder than a non roller.

    I could careless about noise. I want something that good quality and will last when truck not driven much for being a antique.
