If I crank my torsion bars to the max how much lift will that give me? and how bad is that for them? i have heard that if they are under so much pressure they can basically explode. will that actually happen?

It varies with each truck but most of the time it is between 1.5-2.5" of adjustment. With the cranking of the torsion bars, it will stiffen up your ride as it essentially adds preload to the front end and limits the travel slightly which will affect your ride. Only time I have heard of the torsion bars breaking is a defect and not due to the adjustment of them.

You will need an alignment afterwards if you didn't know and the keys will not change height in uniform so each will require a different amount of turns

And be prepared to eat front end parts. Some trucks are worse then others when it comes to it.

It was the 97 and 98's that had metal in the torsions that would in some cases cause them to break. I wouldn't crank them to the max just a bit under and you'll be fine.

Just maxed my Torsion Bars. Front sits at just under 40 inches, Rear sits at about 37 inches. Anybody got any bigger lift blocks theyre looking to get rid of?

Ill consider buying it. Closest Autozone to me is about 20 miles away. Maybe ill try Oreillys first. Whats the biggest block you should buy while still being in the "safe zone"?
