I am looking to buy a 2000 to 2010 Full Size Pick-Up and would like to know which engine is the best 6 cyl or V-8 engine that has the best track record of the less amount of trouble and repairs? If you could tell me which engine is the best performance in Ford F-150? Which engine will get 300,000 miles and is solid as a rock trouble free. Do you feel that there are very solid Full Size Pick-Up out there in these years? I keep all my vesicles in top running conduction.
I've had very good experiences with the 3 triton 5.4s I've owned. It's one of few gas motors I wouldn't have a problem buying with high mileage, high mileage being over 100k. My 3v is a little more picky than the 2v trucks I've had, but the triton motors are actually quite good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've known too many people who've had expensive problems with them. If you ask me I say stick to anything pre-1996. Can't go wrong with 300, 302, 351, or 460 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
My 4.2 has been rock solid for exactly 14 years this Labor Day. Only problem I've ever had was the coil pack taking a crap on me back in 2005. Not the fastest most powerful motor Ford offered but I can't complain. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
