Strolled around the dealership while they changed the oil and rotated the tires on the Fusion. This jewel was available for a mere $60,000. Not bad considering it was 10' away from a $59,000 F-150 Sport. Sorry, but a truck that cost 60k is just ridiculous in my opinion. No way in hell I'd consider spending that on a ANY pickup truck. She's a beauty, love the grabber blue.
I'd spend 60k on a truck if I had a decent down payment to get my monthly obligation lower. Currently paying $650 on 40k ($0 down) so... I'd be LESS inclined to spend $60,000 on a car. It's just a car. The way I see it, a truck can be a car and a truck. A car can only be a car.
My opinion on purchasing a GT350 for 60k would be more sensible (again, in my opinion) considering it's almost an investment, a collector car so to speak. A 60K pickup truck when it's all said and done is just a truck. So I suppose it's a matter of personal opinion. A 40k truck is within reason, we're talking $20,000 more for an F-150 in this case, not an SD, not a Raptor. An F-150 "sport" with red accents and some graphics and a really nice looking interior. Hell I'm almost certain it wasn't even a 4WD. So that said, I'd never pay that much for a pickup truck. 40K is a different story, I can justify that with the exception of your note. I make it a rule not to pay over $480 a month. I just don't care for car notes. Too much other sh*t to blow my money on and vacations to take, but that's just my opinion, obviously people buy em or they wouldn't keep making em that price. To each their own. In this case, GT350 > F-150 Sport
No I wouldn't pay 60k for a sport truck either. My 60k truck would be what I have now except loaded for luxury, or step up into higher capacity. More likely capacity since I'm okay with the XLT package that I have and don't really feel like I need to be surrounded by leather. A GT350 isn't really on the collector level. Not truly. Very few vehicles are. And if you wreck it you definitely don't have a collector. Lol. You can go fast enough to get tickets in a regular truck if that's your thing.
I like my $800 truck that gets me places in comfort and style lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
In some ways, I get more satisfaction out of my 2001 S-10 than my 2015 F-150. Sure the Ford blows the Chevy away at every bullet point, but the Chevy is paid for and runs just fine.
This is in my dealer with a $10k markup on it. When I called them out on it they just argued it was "RS Market value". It's really just their "because we can" price...they own almost every ford dealer in the state. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
