Biggest difference I made in mine was losing the 4x4 decals.

Lose the trim it looks much better, but just be ready for the pain in the ass of getting the 3m tape off after

I agree with you. It will look way better without the trim. Took it off my truck and the 3M tape was a pain to get off. Maybe worth paying someone to take it off for you! ;)

You can use mineral spririts to help remove the adhesive without damaging the paint. Also a body filler spreader. One side I did the mineral Doritos and stuff. On the other I just sprayed it with turtle wax ice and let it sit a while. Absorbed into it and helped a lot, could've just been the adhesive was super dry though

Wow thats a beautiful truck. I really like the red pin stripe.

As for you croc haters.... :321: :jester: Don't knock it till you try it. Theres nothing like wearing boots all day, then putting on a nice set of comfy crocs. haha

I guess I'll try and go the mineral spirits rout first. Hopefully since that trim has been on there over 16 years it will come off semi easy. Any other tips on taking the trim off?

We used to get these nylon "white knives"
at the chassis upfitters. Looked like the second from the left
but chisel shaped on both ends.
    Great for prying
against two surfaces that should not be scratched up.

I see the wide blue is what I would use on the 3M tape
    with the mineral spirits.
I have the yellow set already, now I'm after this blue set.

Thanks Joe. I didn't even know they made tools for doing stuff like that. I'll look into that set.

You've definitely bought a very nice looking truck. It looks very taken care of. :cheers2:
