So yesterday I switched my edge over to show the intake air temp. I notice while running about 50mph the temp was 10 to 15 hotter than the outside air. If I am stopped at a light I can watch it rise higher. Do you guys see similar? I thought the air would be cooler than the outside air.
Mine was like that in my screw. The motor puts off quite a bit of heat, since the "outside" air is engine compartmen air it's going to be pretty warm. This is the case if you have an an aftermarket intake. Mine had a k&n. Sent from my iThingy using Tapatalk
mine is just factory gotts mod, I was figuring the same thing as what your saying, but thought I would ask for my own sanity
i have a open intake and ive seen my AIT as low as 5 degrees difference at 60mph but also as high as 15 degrees difference cruising. It also rises when im idling too. so much for closed intakes being better.
