I know a few of you have them. I bought that cheap $20 ebay one a loooong time back. Well, finally looking at it with the surround  I dont see any possible way to make it work. No instuctions anywhere. Any reviews i have found on it, everyone has the same issues.

What billet grill did you use? I'm wanting to stay with this, since i ordered a lower billet for my valance already. But if it comes down to it, i'll get a honeycomb one (without the ford emblem) and fab up for the lower. Or just go with a wire mesh grille in it.

I used a ebay billet grille. I paid about 40 bux for it but I dont know the seller. I bought it about 5 years ago. I had to mount it to the header panel behind the grille and had to cut the center section of the grille out. It has 4 flat tabs that mount it to the header panel

See thats the weird thing since u mention that. I wonder if mines suppose to do the same. I'm gonna Have to take a good look at it tomorrow. It has 4 tabs on the back. and like little extender deals that are about 2inches long. The top 2 Could possibly attach to the surround itself, but the bottom two are no where near close to attaching to it.

All four of them attach to the header panel, then the grille slides up to it. The best way to do it is to set the billet on the header panel, then put the grill all the way in, adjust billet to where you want it, mark holes, remove grille and billet, drill holes, then reinstall.

Alright. I'll go out and have a look in the morning before it gets too hot. Not gonna tear it all down just yet, still waiting on a few pieces to the puzzle for the front end. Thanks man
