Okay so here is my first write up.

I will put up pictures later... I didn't take very many... so don't get too excited.. I hope it helps anyone who is looking to do this..

    1. Preheat your oven to 250* and put one rack on the lowest rung.

    2. Remove headlight assembly by removing 3 bolts that connect the assembly to the truck, and then disconnect parking lights, headlights and turn signal light form the housing. Be sure to put the bolts in a safe place so that they are not gone when you go to reinstall the headlights.

    3. Clean headlights thoroughly.

    4. Place one headlight in the oven for no more than 10 minutes.

    5. The headlight will only stay warm enough to continue working for about 10 minutes so do not turn the oven off, you will need to put it back in a couple times (took 4 turns in the oven for my second headlight once I figured out what I was doing, so hopefully this will save you some time). Remove headlight and starting with top inner corner begin to separate the clear plastic from the silicon and back of the headlight assembly using either a butter knife or a flathead screw driver. (Other write ups I read said not to use anything metal because you could deform the plastic since it soft but I just reheated it and pushed it back in place.) The goal is to work the screwdriver up and under the lip of the clear plastic.

    6. Once you have a screwdriver under the clear plastic, start working it further down each side of the corner and around the corner. You want to separate it enough to get your fingers under each side. Once you have done that I recommend putting it in the over one last time to get every good and hot before you pull the whole assembly apart. You want to pull it slowly so you don’t crack anything.

    7. Repeat to your second headlight

    8. Separate the chrome reflector piece (2 screws) using a torx t10 screw driver or a hex like I did. Place these in a safe place too. Remove the orange blinker plate.

    9. Sand the reflector, I used 400 grit, wipe down and tape off the parking light reflector. I use a streak knife to make a clean edge.

    10. In a well ventilated area, apply one layer of spray paint to reflector and let dray for at least 10 minutes and repeat. I applied 3 coats and let them dry.

    11. While the reflectors were drying, I started the removing the silicone from clear plastic and housings by putting them in the oven one at a time and using the screw driver to peel away the silicone.

    12. Once all of the above is done reassemble the headlights. Using the black silicone to reseal the headlight assembly. Run a bead of the silicone in the grove of the headlight housing and out the clear plastic back on, touch up and spots that need extra silicone.

    13. Using zip ties or whatever (I used electrical tape, forgot to buy zip ties and it was too late to go to the store… worked great) secure the headlight closed and let dry at least overnight. I read 24 hours somewhere but I gave them 8 hours, I had to go to work.

    14. Reinstall the headlights.
