VHT use to make several different plastic paints for interiors, but I haven't seen them on the shelves in a few years.

Just clean the piece under the steering wheel and paint it, see how that turns out. You could also bondo it smooth , make it more custom.

Well here's the thing, that's how I ruined my original stereo and ac surround. The paint starting bubbling up and I decided to strip it and ended up fuggin it all up dude. I used acetone to strip it and left the acetone on way too long and it weakened the plastic bad. On certain pieces you could use acetone, but on most of those plastic dash pieces will end up being weakened.

I'd try to scuff as much of the paint off I could and if it seems like it's on there pretty good it more then likely is. Just knock the shine off of it and paint it.

Thanks for the info about the acetone.Good thing is i can actually rub it it aggressively and get some of it off.The rest i will just have to lights sand it and see how it turns out. Then use the adhesion promoter and the paint it.

I was going to get to it this week.but were back in the 50's.Which sucks cause for the last 2 days,we were in the 80's.

    Hey Nightwolf.Glad i could inspire ya:waytogo:

I will be repainting some dash pieces as well. I painted a few pieces the stock color of my truck. Now they are getting the new color. I will be spraying them from a gun, not shakebomb.
