So how about a good write up of a professional detail cause i really dont know where to start. The guy who does it charges $400 to do it and does a fantastic job but jeez thats a lot of money to keep paying imo.
Vacuum, then use a cleaner and wipe everything down, then use a protector on all plastic, apply a leather conditioner(if you have leather), then clean interior windows, then i wash the out side from the top down, next i spray wax my truck, then towel dry, then depending on the month i will either compand the whole truckn then polish, then wax, or i will just wax the truck. theni go and apply my bumper dressing to bumpers and all trim, clean outside of windows, then onto the rims polish the hell out of them then spray my tire dressing on. then after the 2-3 hrs it takes i take a shower and stare at how beautiful my truck looks.
deep cleans and removes surface contaminants like tree sap mist, bug residue, paint overspray, road tar, rail dust, and other stubborn dirt. Makes your finish super-clean and smooth as glass. Safe for all surfaces. Clear coat safe.
if you put a plastic bag over your hand and rub your truck you can feel all the junk left behind from just washing and drying. I have used it but i like to just compound then polish and then wax, the clay bar won't take care of minor scratches like the compounding does.
The guy who has done mine in the past even removed the seats to shampoo the carpet so whats a good carpet cleaner?
depends on how bad it is, I have taken the seats out, removed the carpet, sprayed with degreaser, and used my pressure washer to clean a few. But i bought them cleaned them up and sold them for double. But i mainly use Automagics fabric and carpet cleaner and my hot water extractor
Dawn dish soap works too. just get a scrub brush and scrub then use a shopvac to pull all the water out
