They help unleash horse power and help with mpg's as has been said. I've had them on a bunch of Mustangs and the Ranger I just got has a brand new E fan wired to the thermostat :peace:

They don't add hp, they free it up. You take the load off the engine when you swap to efans. I have dual speed dual fans on my truck that came from a 99+ dodge intrepid. They work great and keep my truck cool. I have a relay for the low speed that runs when ac is on. There is another relay that kicks high speed on when truck gets to 200 degrees.

i was thinking about going to the junk yard getting an e-fan big enough to fit....take the fan off the pully and wire it up to a toggle....

toggle will burn up, you could forget to turn it on and burn the motor up.

well i could allways wire it through the ignition...i have done both...a simple fuse will prevent burning and common sense will see the motor took care of

Freeing HP's up would be considered adding horse power would it not :hmm: But anyway they Unleash hp's like I said :birgits_tiredcoffee

And a toggle for manual use as well as the thremostat is a good idea. Sometimes it will call for a manual on setting when racing, wheeling etc.
