Okay So far I have looked at accuautoparts.com and randysringandpinion.com and diffsonly.com . Any other places to check out the prices at. I will prolly go with motives because yukons are just to dang high. Cheapest i found so far is like 530 for 4.56s and install kits. I only have the money for the gears right now, and not the install as the dood that does the mustangs dont want to do it.
yep dood. I just did some math and the 4.6's rpm range looks to be 2850 to 3800 (perdy sure this is not Overdrive numbers). lol that is alot, but it is a high torque motor. Which means with a 4.6 would benefit with gas mileage from 4.56's vs something like 4.30's. My dad has called me crazy and that simply it is better on the motor for lower rpms, but I said yeah but when it keeps downshifting, that aint good on nuthin.

I understand your money situation, but idk if this is something you should take the cheap way out with.
there is no way that the 4.6 would get better gas mileage w/ a 4.56 then it would w/ the 4.30. I have the 4.30 and I get 17+ COMBINED if I keep it under 70 and don't let it tach over 2k too long.
Whats the price difference between the 2? then figure out the fuel costs savings between the 2. if you save more in fuel w/ the 4.30, then the initial out of pocket cost is worth it in the long run. its the sense that hybrids are $8-12k more than a gasser of the same model. you pay more up front but benefit everytime at the pump. just food for thought.
