Okay, so I have been looking for wheels/tires on CL since I made my first post here a few weeks ago. I was told that my truck didn't have a leveling kit on it, but after some replies here and some common sense, I have figured out that it does. I really want to run 35's on aftermarket wheels, but some say they will fit with trimming, and some say they won't. I don't mind trimming fender wells/bumper/plastic, and I have seen a lot of 35's on factory wheels here and just googling, but only a few with aftermarket wheels. Is it the backspacing on some aftermarket wheels that makes the difference? If so, what do I need to look for? I don't want to commit to buying something, drive a couple hours to get them, and then see that they won't work. I have been looking at some black KMC wheels (Rockstar, Revolver, Monster), and Moto Metal 951's, but there are a lot of others out there too that I don't know about. Please help me out guys Thanks in advance.

My truck has 285/65/18's on it now (32.6x11.2x18). From the highest part of the fender well to the ground is 39 3/4" in front, and 40" in the rear. There is 9'' from the top of all tires to the top of the fender.

Thanks for the input. I'm scratching my head here. I wish I knew somebody close that had 35's on aftermarket wheels so I could put one on to try it first.

your truck definitely has a leveling kit. i ran 35's on mine with just a leveling kit with very minor rubbing. i dont remember the offset but maybe zuk can chime in cause he sold the old wheels.

I know you want aftermarket wheels.Thats cool. But to tell ya the truth and to minimize rub.The best wheel you can run as your stock wheel cause in fact it is the best backspacing for your truck. Most aftermarket wheels are usually not the correct backspacing you need for your truck.Yes allot of them come close.

My opinion for best combo to minimize rub.35's with stock rims.I run that.

Or if you want aftermarket wheels. But find out they still rub even tho you did your research on them for not to rub.Run wheel spacers.Believe it or not wheel spacerscan work just fine on our trucks and no cause any problems.

You use them cause you had slight rubing from your aftermarket wheels?
