its pretty simple to do. alot of people put the lights on the fiberglass part but i dont think its very sturdy. i tried it with my lights and they bounced so much when i drove, then again my lights are way too big (hella 700). heres how i have mine. if you need more input on how to do it let me know. my lights are very solid and dont bounce. i do have limited range on how far i can aim my lights but again theyre too big. if youve got a 5 or 6 inch light you should be fine. If you do it this way you have to flip the reflector for the light. hella 700 lights - Page 2 - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans
i remember someone from the other forum putting it on the fiberglass bar and he put a piece of PVC piping between the two piece and it held the lights pretty solid but still its not very sturdy. i was actually working on a new way to do it with taking two pieces of steel and bolting each piece to the top where mine is bolted in now and then bolting it at the bottom where the trans and oil coolers are and putting another piece long ways bolted to the two pieces of steel. ive got the perfect black steel brackets for it, theyre from a garage door operator. (my family owns continetal overhead door here in michigan) its really sturdy but my lights are too big to mount them on it so i havent been able to try it out yet.
