Damn, that sucks. Mine are working fine so far, even with all the mud and water I've thrown at them. I did make sure to silicone all the edges before installing them though, so I know that didn't hurt. and if it wasn't another cowboy, i'd all over yo ass
thanks man, i have actually been debating between the daylighters and slim lights....easier to mount may be the winner
I'll take a pic of my daylighters vs the slim Procomps. They both fit fine, but skinny is always better than thick lol Sent from my Igloo
I fabbed up a new bracket thursday night. My old one was two low and wasn't made for 4 lights. This new one I actually put some thought into and used a tape measure! These next 2 pics show the difference between a slim light and a regular light
I picked up the 5 ProComps for $70 shipped. I put 2 on my truck and we hooked the other 3 up to my brothers escort
and those slim lights are just as bright as the daylighters? truth is im not worried about the space because jlyoung is hooking me up with a bar he did for me to go across my ranch hand.
They aren't as bright, cuz they're 55w and the others are 100w. But I believe you can get the Slimlites in 100w, which would be just as good. *edit* you can get them in 130w and HID also. All depends on your price range. FYI, driving lights are the wide flood beam and long range are the spot beam http://www.google.com/#q=KC+Slimlites+130w&hl=en&prmd=ivns&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=JQHGTeTwHsm1tgfmvoyYBA&ved=0CDYQrQQ&biw=1280&bih=834&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=dfe670566696b623 http://www.quadratec.com/products/97048_22.htm http://compare.ebay.com/like/330503011520?var=bingv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&rvr_id=230598150819&crlp=1_263602_325002&UA=WXF%3F&GUID=c835e73612f0a0b58d552875fffa9a69&itemid=330503011520&ff4=263602_325002 http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&biw=1280&bih=834&q=KC+HID&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=7014683159090664661&sa=X&ei=xgHGTZOlFoqltweTk_mLBA&ved=0CH4Q8wIwAw#
well I hooked the one bad one back up and seems to be working fine now. Probably because it got wet. I guess I'm going to seal up the electronics better.
Added 5% window tint to my A-pillar gauges, it was stupid bright before, and pretty good now. Top one tinted, bottom one not
