I purchased a GoPro Motorsports HD Hero 1080p. Overall it is a great, compact little camera. The accessories, and optional accessories it has are pretty nice. Its wide arrange of video/camera options are more then enough to keep you busy. Now onto the review. Camera Itself: Very small and compact, can mount it just about anywhere it will fit. Pretty easy to use once you figure out what all the icons/modes do. It has the most add-ons for this camera being an LCD screen, extra battery, 3D capability, and a few other fun things. And it can hold up to a 64GB memory card. lasts about 2.5hours on a single chrage, unless you get the extra battery BakPak for it. The triple shoot mode is nice, you can set it to take a picture every 2,5,15,30,and 60 seconds. Can help with capturing some nice action shots. Video mode has about 4-5 settings to choose from (WVGA, two 720p modes, 960p, 1080p). My only complaint is, there's no zoom-in/out for normal picture taking. So ya gotta walk closer/further away from the object(s) you're snapping pics of. And that you have to update the firmware for the LCD BakPak before you can even begin to use it with the GoPro. LCD BakPak: Great little display screen, pictures and videos look ok in it. And helps when trying to find a good angle to record from, and snapping a good pic. It does show too when you switch through different modes what you're going too. Which is a plus. It does suck down battery life, but you can turn it off too with it still attached. So once you find you're angle to record in, turn it off and you're good to go. The sound quality with video playback isnt the best. Volume up all the way and still kind of hard to hear with it not in the housing. Accessories: Suction cup mount- Seems to hold on really well to flat and curved surfaces. It held on driving around my neighborhood, which is pretty rough in spots. Has a pretty wide array of adjustments with the arm for the camera. Havent found an angle i couldnt make it work with yet. They do sell a heavy duty suction mount, which comes with a big price tag. Not sure if it would be needed unless you do some major off roading or trail riding. 3M Mounts- Have yet to use any of these, but 3M Double sided tape itself is pretty damn sticky. Comes with flat and curved surface mounts. You are limited to facing one direction unless you combine the smaller camera arm with it. You could get away with mounting it just about anywhere you can get it to stick. Housings-It comes with an open back and water proof housing for the camera itself. All that really changes are the backs, to fit your situation. The BackPak does come with an array of backs that work with the housing. Waterproof and normal ones. And some that work with the Wrist Strap accessory. Cables- They supply you with a USB cable, Component cable, and a HDMI cable. All for the camera to work with your PC or Tv. Havent used the component one, but the HDMI one is pretty nice. Gives a nice good clear picture. Overall, it is a great camera; IF you have the need for one. From using it at an automotive standpoint i would only use it for making an exhaust video clip, In-cab videos of your system; Or if you're out at a meet and you want to follow behind and catch some footage of everything. But if you're into action sports or racing, it can capture quick runs down the track, or some fresh powder heading down the mountain side. Would i recommend it? Not unless you will fully use it and all of its features. You could get away with a decent digital camera, for 1/3-1/2 the price of this. If you do. the 1080p one is definitely worth the price, since the other models dont support the add-ons you can purchase.
^x2. I would get a suction cup mount for mine...but a 800 dollar camera that im still payin for...if that falls off and break..id cry. can you get a pic of your mount?
